MisterWives has been shaking shit up with their fun, up-tempo, pop-ska with over 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

The band, whose name comes from a play on the Polygamist term “sister wives”, have been performing together since late 2012.

They experienced a rapid ascent from playing their first show the following February, getting signed the next day, recording an EP, and becoming a touring act.

We caught the band on their recent Connect the Dots tour supporting their album of the same name that was released earlier this year.

The band started their set with “Machine”, the defiant anthem to embracing individuality and diversity, the first single from the Connect the Dots album. Setting the tone for the night they moved straight into the catchy- up-tempo sing-a-long “Chasing This”. About halfway through their set MisterWives surprised the crowd with a mash-up of their own “Vagabond” and Twenty One Pilot’s “Ride”. The band closed out the show with the title track from their 2015 album Our Own House.
